320,462. Richardson, M. F. Aug. 21, 1928. Check - lift valves. -A pump valve of the kind having a thin sheet metal valve member with an annular arched ridge 5 intermediate concentric seating surfaces and working between a ported seat 3 and an overhanging stop 12 on the guide stem 10, has the stop and guide formed as an integral unit and the stop provided with means for threading the guide stem into the seat member. In the form -shown the stop is provided with a rectangular manipulating part 14 but this may be replaced by a series of lugs formed on the convex upper surface of the stop. The loading spring 15 is housed between a recess in the stop and a recess 9 formed between the ridge and an upstanding flange 7. The highest part of the ridge is adapted to contact with a flange 13 on the stop to form a buffer chamber.
