Abstract

406,132. Lift-valves. RICHARDSON, M. F., Berwyn, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Feb. 24, 1933, No. 5735. [Class 135.] A valve device, particularly for operating responsively to suction or pressure in compressors and pumps, consists of a ported seat member 1, a valve disc 5 with annular arched ridge 10, a stationary overhang 11 limiting upward movement of the disc, and a crows-foot component 13 peripherally guiding the valve disc and securing all the parts together by the engagement under forced fit of legs 16 thereon around the outer edge of the seat member. The valve disc may be pressed by a spring 12, and in the centre may be either raised as at 8 or perforated to work over a stem on which the overhang 11 may be mounted.
