Casting processes. - In an axle-box the inner face of the steel member 140 is tinned to adhere to the cast liner 141 which in turn has dovetail recesses, to be engaged by a coat of regulus 142, and shoulders 144 to engage between abutments 145 of the member 140 and prevent rotary displacement.
