Blocks acting on drums.-Brake mechanism for solo or tandem bicycles comprises a pulley wheel A screwed on to the cycle wheel hub and engaged by pads C on the ends of two crossed two-armed levers D pivoted at G to the frame B, the other ends of the levers being jointed to two links D<1> pivotally connected to a transmission rod &c. F. The pivot pin G is carried by a clip G<1> secured to the frame B. The brake may be actuated by a hand lever or by a pedal lever, and is released by a spring E.
