Abstract
316,605. Palazzo, F. C., and Palazzo, F. Aug. 1, 1928, [Convention date]. Manures.-Raw materials containing tricalcium phosphate are reacted with nitric acid to obtain a mixed solution of phosphoric acid and calcium nitrate which is then treated with a solution of sodium, potassium, or ammonium hydroxide to precipitate dicalcium phosphate and give a mixed solution of calcium and alkali nitrates. The residual solution of mixed calcium and alkali nitrates may be evaporated under reduced pressure to obtain a solid mixture of calcium and sodium or ammonium nitrates, or in the case of potassium, pure potassium nitrate, and a solid mixture of calcium and potassium nitrate.
