300,903. Stockholms Superfosfat Fabriks Aktiebolag. Nov. 19, 1927, [Convention date]. Manures.-In the treatment of a solution of monocalcium phosphate with alkali or ammonium sulphates to precipitate the calcium as sulphate, and of the resulting solution of alkali or ammonium dihydrogen phosphate with excess of ammonia to precipitate triammonium phosphate or a mixture thereof with trisodium or tripotassium phosphate, the solution is cooled during the treatment with ammonia, say to O‹C, if desired under pressure, whereby precipitation is substantially complete, and the mother liquor for re-use consists almost solely of ammonia. The solution for treatment is obtained by the action of acids or acid mixtures on raw phosphates, and therefore alkali &c. salts of the acids used will also be formed during the treatment and will appear in the final precipitate.
