339,500. Odda Smelteverk Aktieselskabet, and Johnson, E. Dec. 14, 1928, [Convention date]. Addition to 339,340. Manures. - The mother liquor, obtained by treating rock phosphate with nitric acid and separating a substantial proportion of calcium nitrate by cooling as described in the parent Specification, is treated with gaseous or aqueous ammonia, ammonium carbonate or alkali carbonate, di-cakium phosphate being precipitated and separated and the filtrate being used for the production of products containing nitrogen and phosphoric acid, or the di-calcium phosphate being treated together with the solution to obtain solid products. If excess of precipitant and high temperature are used, tri-calcium phosphate with or without di-calcium phosphate is obtained. The separate or mixed products obtained may be further mixed with ammonium salts, other nitrogen compounds such as urea or potassium salts. The di-calcium phosphate may be mixed, preferably in the molten state, with calcium nitrate, obtained according to the parent Specification, and urea with or without further nitrogen compounds such as ammonium phosphate, sulphate or chloride or potassium salts such as the nitrate or phosphate, the mixed product being desiccated for example in a vacuum spraying device. Examples are given.
