Hubs; detachable-wheels; spokes, securing. - A hub for a detachable wirespoked wheel comprises a barrel g with a shoulder t forming a stop for a cupped flange b which, with a mating flange a, carries the inner set of spokes. The barrel g is pressed into the flanges a, b, the inner end u being then swaged over and welded to the member a. The latter is formed with a rib l which is over-lapped by the flanged edge m of the part b to form an offset seating for the spokes. In modifications, the spokes are secured to the extended edge portion of one of the parts a, b. The bolt-holes, for attachment to the axle-flange or brake-drum, may be reinforced as described in Specification 234,758; or as shown, the bushes n may be reinforced by distance4sleeves o and spring-washers s )may be fitted under the nuts.
