Spring wheels.-The wheel shown in Fig. 1 comprises a rim 10 and discs 7, 8 connected by a coned centre-part 4 seated on the coned flange 3 of a sleeve 2 which under load, is displaced axially on the hub 1 against the resistance of a spring 5. The discs 7, 8 are guided between a hub-plate 12 and an extension 15 of the cap 6. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the coned sleeve 38 is fitted with a thrust-ring 27 between which and a ring 24 bearing against the guideplate 25 a series of nested springs 21, 22 is arranged. In this form, the plate 25 is secured to the hub by bolts 41 and supported by the hubcap 40.
