Abstract

14,250. Milnes, G .P. June 15. Spring wheels with sectional outer guided members. - Detachable felloe sections C, Fig. 3, are formed. at their ends with recesses resting on spherical or cylindrical elastic cushions D, Fig. 1, seated in the ends of spokes, so that the sections are allowed radial and circumferential movement. The sections are guided between two plates B<1> secured directly to the spokes or hub, and are secured in a detachable manner by means of transverselyextending plates E, Fig. 4, which are held on radial bolts C<5>. The plates rest against the inner edges of the plates B<1> and fit in slots C<3> in the sections. The spokes may be jointed at their ends, or centrally as at A<5>. A sectional tyre may be fitted, or the gaps between the ends of the sections may be covered by plates F, or left open for non-skid purposes.
