Abstract
315,420. Siemens - Schuckertwerke Akt.-Ges. July 14, 1928, [Convention date]. Cable joints.-The inner sleeve 3 enclosing a cable joint is fitted with a filling pipe 5 that projects through the filling opening 8 of the outer sleeve 7 and can remain unsealed until the outer sleeve has been filled and cooled. The filling consumption is then drawn by suction from the pipe 5 until the level falls to a mark 11 leaving an air space. The pipe 5 is closed by a screw 6 and soldered, and is protected by a projecting pipe 9 on the sleeve 7 having a cap 10.
