[Class 99 (i).] A ferrule for condenser tubes of the kind having an internal shoulder 18 and a flared end 15 has one or more slots 22 which extend to the external periphery of the ferrule and through the shoulder 18 so as to avoid the formation of an air pocket between the shoulder and the end of the tube 20.
