Abstract

446,463. Pipe connections. WHEATON, A. W., 77, Durand Road, Maplewood, New Jersey, U.S.A. July 24, 1935, No. 21057. [Classes 99 (i) and 99 (ii)] A hose pipe 10 is connected to the filling pipe 17 of an underground tank by an adaptor 14, Fig. 1, which is secured at one end to the hose by coupling members 11, 12 and is provided at its other end with a plurality of stepped threaded sockets 28, 29, having joint gaskets 31, 33, for selective engagement with the end bore 20 of said filling pipe. In a modification the screwthreads 38, 39, 40 are formed externally of the adaptor end and may be protected by a removable cover 41 or associated with a stepped socket member 43.
