[Class 36] A sealed vacuum-tight expansion vessel 4 for oil-filled bushing-insulators 1 has a duct connecting with the interior 10 of the insulator, the duct having one end located at the geometric centre of the vessel. The duct may be formed between the conductor 2 and a concentric tube 6 soldered to the cover 3. The vessel 4 may be soldered to the cover 3 or to a cap 13, Fig. 3, which is spring-pressed against packing 12. The tube 6 may be dispensed with and the duct formed by a bore 7 in the axis of the conductor 2.
