488,558. Discharge apparatus. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE. Jan. 6, 1937, No. 407. Convention date, Jan. 9, 1936. [Class 39 (i)] An all-metal envelope for an electric discharge device consists of a bulb 1 which is closed by a screw stopper 2, the joint being sealed by a fusible paste of an inorganic substance, preferably an enamel. The outer surface of the envelope is coated with an inorganic enamel or an organic varnish. In the arrangement shown, the lead 6 to the anode 7 is taken through one end of the envelope and the leads to the other electrodes 8, 9 through the stopper by insulators 10.
