Abstract

559,831. Transformers. COLE, Ltd., E. K., MARTIN, A. W., INSKIP, F. A., and NEWBERY, C. J. W. Jan. 28, 1943, Nos. 1459 and 12454. [Class 38 (ii)] A small-power, high voltage transformer is enclosed in an oil-filled casing c of natural or synthetic rubber. The transformer is supported by a metal plate e sealed between the flanges of the casing and of a moulded rubber cap g in which the terminals h are mounted. The cap is provided with a filling orifice i closed by a hollow glass stopper which is also oil-filled before insertion. The casing c may be inserted into a metal casing the lip of which is clamped to the flanges x, y.
