Abstract

374,291. Discharge lamps. MACEY, R., 112, Jameson Avenue, Toronto, Canada. June 22, 1931, No. 17994. [Class 39 (i).] Two solid electrodes b, c are mounted close together at one end of an elongated vitreous tube a and are connected to terminals on a common base or cap. One electrode b is enclosed by an inner vitreous tube f which extends concentrically within the tube a to a point near the end remote from the base so that the discharge in the neon &c. filling fills the tube, and the other electrode c surrounds the tube f and the electrode b. The tube may be bent to form a letter and both electrodes may be ring-shaped. The base ring may fit a standard supply socket.
