Percussive tools. - Relates to stands for fluid - pressureoperated tools and consists in a stand that houses treadle operated means for controlling the supply valve. The stand is described with reference to riveting. A base A receives a column B adjustably clamped at 4. Arms C, D adjustable on the column are similarly clamped. A percussive hammer 6 has lug s 8 that embrace a tang d on the arm D clamping being effected at 9. Exhaust passes by ports 11 to the space 10 and escapes axially of the tool. The valve 13 is operated by a rod 17 for telescopic adjustment by a nut in a tube 16 in the column. The tube 16 is actuated by a treadle 15a and spring 20. The rod 17 is knurled at 17<a> and is slotted to pass a cotter to prevent rotation after adjustment which is effected by removing the cotter and turning the rod.
