Abstract

312,006. Hevi Duty Electric Co., (Assignees of Smalley, E. L.). May 22, 1928, [Convention date]. Resistance furnaces.-The, heating elements 19 are held in position by refractory members 26 having a flange provided with a serrated edge or edges 22. The heating elements are of sinuous form and located in corrugated plates 18. The members 26 may be of I-section engaging slots in the furnace wall and bolted to the wall by square-headed bolts 32. Tongues 36 and grooves 35 may be provided in the refractory members to secure alignment. A furnace of circular form is also described.
