Rivet-heating furnaces. - À In a rivet-heating furnace of the kind in which the rivets are suspended by their heads through a slot in a brickwork support above the fire, the bricks D forming the support are held in a metal frame E, and are provided with interengaging complementary projections and recesses A of circular or other shape. The frame is made in two parts bolted together, and the bricks are supported on projecting ribs G. The width of the slot may be varied by clamping sheet asbestos C between the end bricks F, F<1>.
