Abstract

Baffles for Lancashire and Cornish boiler flues and the like are of propeller shape and built up of separate parts loosely put together so that they can be readily assembled in the flue. As shown, the blades are combined with a boss which is rounded or stream-lined at both ends, but the boss may be dispensed with. Fire-clay or other refractory material is used.
