Abstract

567,768. Heat-radiators forming parts of stoves. THOMAS, C. L. Aug. 21, 1943, No. 13654.. [Class 126] In a stove having superposed sections formed with transverse air-heating passages and arranged above a firebox 13, each section is formed of two similar parts 20, 21 of the form shown in Fig. 3, the tubular portions 22 being of truncated pyramidal form so as to provide, on assem. bly, open-ended passages 25 of diamond shape. The sections are held in position by the engagement of the upper edges 31 of the parts 21 in rabbets 30 provided at the lower edges of the parts 20. In a modification, the tubular portions 22 are triangular in horizontal section, while, in order to cause the gases rising from the firebox to take a zig-zag course, adjacent sections may be constituted by pairs of members 20, 21 having their portions 22 respectively of square and triangular section.
