420,920. Heat-distributing plates for gas-cookers. SOUTHGATE, J. F., 311, Bramford Lane, Ipswich, and DOBSON, H. M., Dairy Green, Crockham Hill, Edenbridge, Kent. June 21, 1933, No. 17722. [Class 126] A deflecting plate 1 for use on the grid of a gas cooker has openings 2 for the flames or combustion gases and depending flanges 3 which are adapted to enter between and lie transversely of the bars 6, 7 of the grid, when the plate is in position, so as to confine the combustion gases and deflect them towards the openings. Each flange 3 has a slot or slots 5, and terminates short of the full width of the plate. Two plates may be arranged side by side on the bars with the openings 2 together.
