Abstract
498,137. Plate -racks. STOVES, Ltd., and RICHARDSON, W. H. July 2, 1937, No. 18397. [Class 28 (ii)] A pivoted plate-rack, associated with a domestic cooker, comprises a slotted and flanged metal plate 3 and rails 11 freely pivoted on the underside thereof, the rails being of notched or castellated form so that the edges of the plates inserted in the slots 4 are received in the notches in the rails 11. As shown, the plate-rack is mounted in the lid 2 of the cooker in the manner described in Specification 498,138, [Group XXV]. The rails 11 are of angle section, the vertical flanges being castellated, and, at the ends, the vertical flanges are removed and the horizontal flanges turned up at 14 to receive rivets 16 which act as pivots. According to the Provisional Specification, the rack may be made of wire.
