Abstract

422,822. Cooking-stoves. FLAVEL, P. W., Eagle Foundry, Leamington, Warwickshire. March 19, 1934, No. 8643. [Class 126] A gas or like cooker is provided with one or more detachable wings which normally extend laterally to serve as supports for utensils &c., but which may be reversed to cover the hot. plate, as shown in broken lines, each wing consisting of an open-ended rectangular frame 81 and a metal sheet 83 covering it and having turned-over edges which engage the frame and allow the sheet to be slid off endwise. In the form shown, the ends 82 of the side members of the frame are turned down and engage, in either position of the wing, in holes in the side bars of the hot-plate. The sheet is shorter than the frame so that by sliding it inwards the end member of the frame is left free to serve as a towel or cloth rail. Specifications 420,739 and 423,638 are referred to.
