Abstract

423,638. Mounting plate racks on stoves. FLAVEL, P. W., Eagle Foundry, Leamington, Warwickshire. March 19, 1934, No. 8640. [Class 126] A frame 34 carrying a platerack 40 is hingedly mounted on the hot-plate of a gas or other cooker so that it may be folded down to a substantially flat position, the arrangement being such that it is not detachable from the stove in the operative position, but is freely detachable in the non-operative position. In the form shown the frame 34 is of inverted U-form the lower ends of the side members having slots 35 engaging headed pivot pins 33 carried on brackets 32 on the hot-plate, about which pins the frame may be turned down from the position of use shown until stops 36 carried by it rest on the hot-plate. In the position of use the frame engages the raised hot-plate cover 25, with which it preferably interlocks in the manner described in Specification 420,739 ; disengagement of the slotted ends of the frame from the pivot pins 33 is thus prevented, whilst being freely possible in other positions of the frame.
