Abstract

311,604. Featherstone, W. H. July 30, 1928. Screwed interengaging cocks; leakage, preventing; locking. - A non-leaking cock for petrol &c. comprises a rotary screwed plug C disposed in a casing K, as shown, and provided with a doubleacting non - leaking disc J having on both sides a V-shaped rib adapted to bed down alternately into grooves in the casing K and in the cap D when the cock is open or closed. The cock may be operated directly by the lever G. If locking is required, the cock is enclosed in a shell B and by a front N, such as the dashboard of a motor vehicle, on which a cylindrical type of lock F is fitted. A lever E of the lock engages the cock lever G to operate the cock as the lock is actuated by its key I.
