368,453. Valve accessories. SMITH, H. A., 18, The Avenue, and HEATH, J. A., 20, The Avenue, Gravesend, Kent. Jan. 12, 1931, No. 950. [Class 135.] Locking.-A guard or locking device for taps or cocks, in particular petrol cocks on motor vehicles, comprises a twopart casing 1, hinged at 3, and adapted to embrace in separate tube-like enclosures both the cock handle and the cock body and unions, as shown. Apertures are left above and below to allow the opposite ends of the plug to project through. An internally-projecting flange 14 at one or both ends of the device fits closely round the pipe and prevents rattling. Each of the two parts 1 is provided with a lug 9, 10, respectively, and/or a lug 11, 12, through apertures in which the hasp of a padlock 13 can be secured.
