344,578. Valve accessories. WARD, M. A., 28, Peronne Road, Hilsea, Cosham, Hampshire. Jan. 2, 1930, No. 120. [Class 135.] Locking.-An arrangement for locking petrol taps to prevent unauthorized use of motor vehicles comprises a frame clamped round the tap, the said frame having upper and lower members A, A<1>, the member A<1> being formed with a depending socket L, M to accommodate the tap handle T. The other member A is fitted with hinged depending clamping rods which pass into end slots N<1>, N<2> in the member A. An aperture in one rod engages over the nut U of the tap plug, and the whole is secured by nuts D, J. The nut J is formed with a flange J<1> having apertures one of which is adapted to coincide with a slot 0 in the member A' so that the whole arrangement can be secured in position by a padlock P, as shown.
