Abstract

311,065. Pye, E., and Heale, S. J. Oct. 15, 1928. Lamps forming a line of light. -One or more tubular electric lamp bulbs 7 arecontained within an elongated translucent glass tube 1 having metallic end caps 2 through which extend the threaded ends 4 of a frame 3 supporting the bulb holders 6, . nut 5 securing the frame to the caps. The tube 1 may be of blue-tinted glass and may be secured to a wall, ceiling, shop window &c. by brackets or suspension devices. Half of the tube may be silvered internally or otherwise made opaque and the tube used in conjunction with a trough-shaped reflector. Stencil letters or designs can be formed on the tube. The end caps are provided with ventilation holes and insulating bushes for the electric leads, and may have internal screw threads cemented to the tube 1.
