Reflectors; reflector-holders.-In electric-light ing apparatus, particularly for use in factories, shops, libraries, laboratories, &c. light is conveyed to definite areas through reflecting-tubes or channels, each of which can be adjusted independently of the others. In one form in which an electric lamp 3, Fig. 1, is mounted on an adjustable standard 2, 4, wall sections 10 carrying the light-conducting tubes 9 are adjustably supported in channel-shaped rings 11, 12 on a frame 7 adjustably mounted on the standard so that the sections overlap and form a housing round the lamp. An adjustable cap 17 is mounted on the frame 7. Each tube 9 preferably has an adjustable and detachable reflecting-lining 16, Fig. 6, secured therein by a set-screw 15. In a second form, the light passages 39, Fig. 8, are formed by pivoted partitions 36 disposed between two reflectors 23, 22, Fig. 7, and adjusted horizontally by thumb-screws 37, Fig. 8, engaging slots 38 in the upper reflector and with the free ends of the parfitions. The reflectors comprise several overlapping sections mounted on swinging arms 26, 31, Fig. 7, pivoted to rings 28, 32. The arms 26 are held in any position by screws 27, and the lower ring 32 is supported by extensible arms 33. In a third form, a reflector or shade comprising trough-shaped members 64, Fig. 11, with overlapping wings 65 is supported by arms 66 pivotally secured bv thumb-screws 68 to arms 67, and a cone-shaped reflector 70 slidably mounted on the column 62 is arranged below the reflector. In the fourth form, the lighting apparatus is inverted to give indirect illumination, and the cap may be of diffused glass to allow the passage of some direct light.
