Abstract
296,560. Staines, F. Sept. 13, 1927. Shades and reflectors; shade and reflector holders. - In a lamp in which a shade or reflector is attached to a back plate so as to more or less conceal an electric lamp bulb and to reflect the light downwardly, a shade or reflector b is pivotally mounted at c on a back plate a so that it may be moved to reflect the light upwardly or both upwardly and downwardly, the pivots preferably being formed so as to ensure sufficient friction to retain the shade in any adjusted position. A bulb d or bulbs may be mounted on the inner surface of the shade, as shown, or they may be fixed to the back plate, which latter may be permanently or detachably secured to a wall or other surface, or mounted on a stand, bracket, or other support. The shade may be made in one piece, or in two or more pieces of the same dimensions, or arranged to telescope or move over one another.
