Abstract

339,818. Haden & Sons, Ltd., G. N., and Davis, C. M. Dec., 31, 1929. Ceiling lamps.-In an electric lamp of the kind let into a ceiling and having a transparent or translucent front approximately flush with the ceiling, the reflector 2 is formed integrally with, or rigidly fixed to and supported by, a ring member 3 which is secured to the ceiling 5, as by means of fixing screws 4, and carries a hinged ring frame 10 carrying the glass front 11. The lower end of the reflector 2 may be secured to a flange 7 on the ring member 3 by means of bolts and nuts 8. The reflector is preferably of parabolic shape and white enamelled on the inside and may carry an inverted cup-shaped gallery 14 which is perforated at 17 for ventilation purposes and on which a tubular stem 13 carrying an electric lamp bulb 12 is slidably supported and fixed in the adjusted position by means of a grub screw 16.
