Abstract
309,364. Bartosik, J. Sept. 7, 1928. Tipping-tank water-waste preventers.-A drum 8, Fig. 1, is adjustably mounted in notches 26 in a frame 23 pivoted at 24, the weight of the filled drum depressing the frame and a connected rod 19, so that a spring 17 is able to close the inlet valve 13. At one side, the drum is provided with an air passage 32, the weight of which rotates the drum into emptying position when a catch 34 is moved out of engagement. As the drum empties, the frame 23 and rod 19 move upwards, and the inlet valve is opened. The water issuing from the pipe 7 acts on bucket 33 and returns the drum to its initial position, the catch 34 moving into holding position. In a modified form, the supporting frame is pivoted at 38, Fig. 6, and has a lug 40 adapted to act on the inlet valve spindle 41.
