307,837. Siemens & Halske Akt.- Ges. March 14, 1928, [Convention date]. Transformers. -A current transformer for use on hightension systems is housed within the hollow body i of a supporting or leading- in insulator carrying the high-tension line l. The lower part of the insulator is closed by a metallic base b supporting the core e of the transformer, the secondary winding of which is led out to terminals k disposed in an annular channel formed in the base. The primary winding p is led out at the top of the insulator, and connection to the high tension line l is effected within a metallic dome-shaped chamber h communicating through an aperture o with the space within the insulator. The insulator body is filled with oil, and the domeshaped chamber h serves as an expansion vessel for the oil in addition to providing protection against corona.
