465,933. Current transformers. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. Oct. 26, 1936, No. 29066. Convention date, Dec. 2, 1935. Addition to 414,261. [Class 38 (ii)] In a current transformer having a primary winding 1 formed of concentric cylindrical shells inter-connected by annular end pieces as described in the parent Specification, the primary is arranged next to the core, and the secondary 8 is wound over the primary but separated therefrom by a porcelain or other fire-proof insulating body 4 having metal coatings on the surfaces indicated by thick lines. The primary terminal bushing may be formed integrally with the body 4 and projects through an opening in a metal casing surrounding the secondary. The core and winding structure may be supported within the insulator 4 by a support 7, or by an insulating closure at the lower end of the insulator, Fig. 2 (not shown). Premagnetizing turns connected in series with the primary and embracing only a part of the core section may be formed in the same manner as the primary turns as indicated in Fig. 5.
