307,275. Tell, E. E. von. Sept. 1, 1928. Rope grips.-The top lift 5 of a derrick boom is brought downwards from a sheave on the mast and under a sheave 9 on the deck &c. 1, and is held fast by a brake-block 14 when the derrick head has been brought to the required height. The brake-block is controlled by the short end 17 of a hand-lever 18 provided with a holding pawl 21.
