[Class 78 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXIII] A crane or davit for lifting and lowering waterborne craft on to or .from ships has a main boom 5, an auxiliary boom 7 and a lifting rope 9 running from the hoisting drum 6, around the pulley 8 and along the auxiliary boom. The main boom has topping lifts 16 and the auxiliary boom has a separate topping lift 13.
