Jib cranes.-In guy derrick cranes in which a rotatable mast 4 is stayed by guy ropes attached to a head 1 mounted on a main pin 3, the stress on the pin is reduced by interposing a roller or bearing block &c. between the mast and the head at a distance from the axis. As shown, a roller 6 is mounted in brackets 5 on the mast and bears on the under surface of the head.
