Abstract
306,112. Siemens &. Halske Akt.- Ges. Feb. 16, 1928, [Convention date]. Addition to 296,724. Arc-lamp electrodes.-In apparatus according to the parent Specification, an alloy of metals of the zinc group, for example an alloy of 17 parts of zinc with 83 parts of cadmium, is used for the arc-lamp electrode. Heating devices for liquefying the metals may be provided on the lamp body, the arc being struck by the confluence of the liquefied metals. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers also to the use of potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, titanium, zirconium, lanthanum, zinc, cadmium, mercury, cobalt and nickel, and of alloys of potassium and sodium, of calcium and magnesium, and of aluminium and silver (in proportions 3:7). This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
