Transmission gear between separate axles.-Comprises differential driving gear for driving four wheels of a, vehicle having six or more wheels in which one pair of wheels are driven through a differential gear and the other pair are driven from the same differential gear through friction means permitting slip when necessary. In the construction shown, the sun pinions B of a differential gear mounted on and driving the front driving axle C are formed with outer bevel wheels b driving the corresponding rear half-axles C<1> through shafts F<1>, friction clutches h and bevel gearing K. The clutch members G are slidably splined on the driving shafts F<1> and are pressed into engagement with loose bevel pinions H by springs G<1> adjusted by nuts f<2>. Flexible couplings f are provided on the shafts F'.
