Abstract

303,819. Oehmichen, E. Oct. 7, 1927. Divided on 302,752. Screw propellers. - Helicopters with blades which oscillate and which have a cyclical changing pitch are provided with an elongated body oscillating and turning with the blades whereby a variable inclination of the latter causes an incidence change in the blades. Blades 1, 1<1> are mounted on a ring 2 carried by a shaft 6 through an intermediate ring 5. Bars 7, 7<1> are in line with the short axles 3, 3<1> and carry heavy weights 8, 8<1>. Reaction springs 9, 9<1> connect the blades with the shaft. The blades are controlled in the plane of 90‹ to the maximum unbalance as referred to in Specification 272,871. Specification 302,752 also is referred to.
