Abstract
223,501. Cookson, C. S. April 9, 1924. Screw propellers. -A flat steel stiffening ring for the blades of an airscrew is supported by arms from the boss. A flat ring B is bolted at 5, 6 to two spring steel arms C<1>, C<2> and also at 9, 10 to arms C<3>, C<4> the four arms being bolted to hub plate P at 11 - - 14, and held to gether near the ring by bolts 7, 8. Before assemblage on the propeller the ring, arms, and plate are checked for balance. Specification 176,066 is referred to.
