Abstract
521,218. Helicopters. CHEESMAN, R. S. Nov. 12, 1938, No. 32958. [Class 4] A helicopter is supported by two oppositely rotating propellers 2, 3 connected respectively to the crank shaft and crank case of an engine 1, and the whole assembly is mounted outside the fuselage on a ball joint and controlled by a handlever 13. The propeller 3 may be braked at starting. Fuel is fed to the engine through a tube 11 passing through a hollow part 9 of the control lever.
