Abstract
241,243. Baumhauer, A. G. von. April 17,1924. Screw and like propellers.-The blades of a helicopter screw each tilt about an axis A A, and points h on each blade to the rear of this axis are connected by stays through springs s to opposite sides of a ring rotatably mounted on a disc which can be raised and lowered, and tilted in any direction by the pilot. The blades are supported at the points g by stays to a ring f rotating with the propeller. The axis A A is so chosen that the incidence angle of the blades tends to decrease, under the control of springs s, as the thrust increases.
