Abstract
185,661. LamÚ, M. L. V. Oct. 15, 1921. Aerial machines with aerostats; helicopters; steering, balancing, and regulating altitude.-In an aerial machine of the kind adapted to be supported by the simultaneous action of lifting propellers, an aerostat, and planes, the two lateral lifting propellers 3 are mounted on the extended framework 19 of the aerostat 4, which can be adjusted about the axis 23 relatively to the glider member 5. The machine is shown in the position it occupies when on the ground. In horizontal flight, the aerostat is more or less in line with the glider member, the angle between the two being adjustable by the pilot by cables. The cables for operating the elevator 21 and interconnected double rudder 22, pass through the axis 23. The aerostat supports 1/10 of the weight of the machine.
