Vaporizers, external.-In a sleeve-valve engine cylinder-block, having induction and exhaust passages on opposite sides of the block, a passage 23, within the block, conveys a portion of the exhaust gas to a jacket 25 round the induction pipe. The induction passage 21 is branched as shown and a baffle deflects the exhaust gas into a passage 15a communicating with the passage 23.
