Abstract

Bottles, non-refillable.-A closure for a non-refillable bottle comprises a sleeve 3, the lower end 2<1> of which is applied in a semifused condition and is irremovably crimped. over a bead 2 in the neck of the bottle. An ordinary cork 4 is fitted in the neck, and a glass stopper 5- is cemented into the upper portion of the sleeve so that access can be obtained to the contents only by fracturing the sleeve. The upper portion of the sleeve is of smaller diameter than the lower. In a modified form of stopper 5, Fig. 4, a tool slot 8 is formed in the upper end by oppositely disposed extensions 6, 7, so that the tool can only engage the slot when rotated in one direction, for forcing the stopper into position.
