Abstract
241,809. American Metal Cap Co., and Hammer, C. April 24, 1925. Cap-stoppers, bayonetjoint; stoppers, making. -A metal closure for a glass container having interrupted screw threads at its neck comprises a cap having a corrugated depending skirt 5, Fig. 1, with a beaded edge 7, parts of which are pressed inwardly and upwardly to form long locking lugs 8 with inclined tubular edges 10, Fig. 2 to engage screw threads 11, Fig. 9, on the bottle neck. The glass container threads may be provided with a stop piece 13 which serves to limit the turning of the cap and prevent distortion of the cap and lug.
