Spring mechanism above closure ; cap stoppers, screw. - A closure for petrol, oil and like containers comprises an internally threaded member 1 having secured to it by a screw 9 a central sleeve 8 in which a rotatable stem 6 slides against the pressure of a spring 10 disposed between the screw 9 and an enlarged head on the stem 6, the stem carrying a leather sealing-washer 4 adapted to engage a shoulder 11 in the container neck which has a top edge inclined to the axis of the neck or is channelled to facilitate pouring.
